WattFlow requires no account. Battery, current, power, and component data read by the app is used only for real-time display on your Mac and is never uploaded.
Anonymous app analytics
To understand version adoption and stability, the app sends a random installation identifier, app version, macOS version, chip architecture, and launch, dashboard-open, and heartbeat events. The random identifier is hashed again before it is stored on the server. It does not include battery readings, device names, Apple IDs, file contents, or IP addresses.
Website analytics
The website uses a random visitor identifier in local storage and a session identifier for the current tab to count page views, download-button impressions, and download clicks. Country and region are provided by Cloudflare's edge network. The website does not read precise location or write IP addresses to the database.
When supported, the home page reads charging state, battery level, and estimated time locally in your browser to switch the power-flow demo. These values are not sent with analytics events.
- No advertising cookies or third-party advertising profiles are used.
- Button impressions and clicks are deduplicated by session and download type.
- If Global Privacy Control or your browser's “Do Not Track” setting is enabled, the website sends no analytics events.
Infrastructure
The website and anonymous event receiver run on Cloudflare. Aggregate metrics are displayed through self-hosted Prometheus and Grafana. The statistics help us understand traffic, regional distribution, and download conversion, and are not sold or shared with advertising platforms.
